We were loading the trailer, on the last stack my hunny found a black snake in there. Guess who finished loading the trailer... I found a shed skin in one of our barrels of chunks earlier this year, another black snake.

Found this between my house and processing area this year. I’m happy not to have found all of it and alive. It’s a good reminder. I paid a lot more attention to where I go after.

I tried to post these pictures last night, but wouldn't load... This is a cottonmouth moccasin on the road to work, near a swamp. Looks like it had been eating well. This is a timber rattler we killed in our yard...
My son went to college at UW Lacrosse. Lived in Wisconsin all my life and that was the first time I found out that we had rattlesnakes.

Good to see them immobilized. In Ct it’s against the law to kill a rattlesnake. I have no further comments on the subject
