These photos were taken by my older brother David who passed away this last summer. Turns out he was very much a photographer who has left a legacy of several thousands of slides which I'm in the process scanning into the computer, and have picked out a few that are either old logging or just pictures of interest. My brother 30 years ago. Steam powered railroad repair crane about 1958. This is a Canadian Forest Products operation where I was later to spend most of my working years. The beginning of a high rigger going up to top and rig a spar tree. This picture should be of interest to Scotty Overkill That spar tree in action. 1956 -1958 approx. The whole show.
Awesome pictures. So cool to see how things were done back in the day My condolences about your brother
Thanks camp, always a pleasure to see your pics. And a special thanks to your brother for taking them, may he RIP.
This Cougar did not enjoy my brother's presence! One fat black bear! Another one up a tree! Wild life of a different sort; a very nice catch!
