Testing doesn't show what happens with continued use. I think what people are seeing is the cumulative effect of burning these over a period of time.
Ive burned a ton plus no complaints. No clinker nothing out of the ordinary for a good pellet. Id buy them again.
Again, they aren't bad.... they certainly aren't aweful. They are just expensive and burn like a box brand. That's the core of my issues with them. I'd do backflips over these if they were 225 a ton. but they were 339 a ton. so the only flipping i'm doing, is the bird to this model for next year lol
I say go for it Steve. Not that it matters to me BUT other members would prolly appreciate another opinion.
OK...I'll run down for a couple bags this weekend, they just got a new shipment in and wasn't sure if it's worth it.
Certainly not, however Smoke is right. I do look forward to seeing your formal review results. I wish we lived closer because I would donate some of these to you, and some Okie DFs too!
I'd love to try those Okies, maybe one day!!! I'll hopefully be getting Blazers in a few weeks....hopefully!!!
I wouldn't bother with the drive.... You probably won't get much clinker action with one or two bags. it takes about 4 before it starts for me, and then it just exponentially pancackes
Same for me. Fortunately I was able to swap my remaining 2 tons of Okies at my dealer for Barefoots. Me and my stove are now happy again.
I just started my 3rd ton the ashes are kinda chunky. Sounds like little rocks when i brush the ash off the lip of the burnpot. Seems the complaint of clinkering is sporadic. I had none in forst two tons or two bags from the fourth ton. But the fee bags ive burned from the third ton has them. I dont consider it an issue though.
Man, i stirred my burn pot yesterday after about 5 bags of running on high.... I took out a hockey puck. seriously. When i clean it in a few days (if it ever warms up) i'll snap pics
