"firing" customers are pretty rare, but every once and awhile, you get someone who you get the feeling will never be pleased.....maybe they do it on purpose to see how far they can bend ya, who knows? Its rare, but it happens
We have a lot of discussions on this forum and seldom do we all agree. But I do like the way you handle your business (not that my opinion matters much to you). Just thought I would share that.
I do know about this...sold them a truck to try. First truck we have sold in PA since about 2008-09 and he wanted to see if it would sell there at the larger prices, since prices aren't as high on average in PA as they are in NE. The truck lasted about 27 1/2 minutes (actually about 24 hrs) and it looks like he can develop a market for our product there. Have another dealer in the Hudson Valley in NY that did the same thing. For both of them, it will be slim pickings for the rest of this season, as most everything has long been committed for, but as our volumes will grow substantially next year, they should be able to secure more product in these current unserviced areas.
I wouldn't know anything about that. Yep, Except beer. Its about the only thing. Now don't mention brands or all bets are off!! Not if we intercept! In Doug's sig is a neat tool he provides. I wish more mills had a dealer locator to help find stock. Saves a lot of leg work and phone calls!!
I was confused because in an earlier post he basically said there's no pellets coming to PA....then I find this place, very close to me, that has/had them!
Having one or two trucks come into a market isn't really what I would call servicing a market.....it was a trial to see how it went....as far as a second truck...I will see what I can do...but no promises yet....if and when we can supply that market on a consistent basis, will we establish more dealers ....but we have to make sure 1. The market will support the product .....read, will it pay the price to make it worthwhile to service 2. We have enough product to be a regular supplier to that market, not just in the off season If we can do this, it would make sense for us to supply this market, as there is a built in demand for PA coal coming back to the NE...so we can get a competitive rate to go out that far from our plant.....but we have to still do some more homework ...but it looks promising.
ugh...I have to work......in the Storm of the Century! gotta see if im all stocked up on batteries, bread, and milk.......
Wow I got some catching up to do... In any event it took me a while but here are the draft readings: Low Draft: .52 High Draft: . 72 Btw...when in low draft mode the low draft adjustment allows a range of .06 to .74. The pot adjustment does not affect readings in the high draft mode. I don't think there is an issue with draft.
Been burning about a bag a day and grabbing from the original ton that started the thread. I can't ignore the pot for a full week like I did last season. Must scrape every couple days due to a rather large 'speed bump' that forms or the pellets have trouble starting. I am also back to making rather hard nuggets as well. On a good note they are hot and the black soot just brushes off the exchanger.
Okie Plats most of last season. Burned the two tons and then finished off the unusually cold end of season with 1/4 ton of Geneva. If the plats make a come back like Doug says, I will stock those if available.
