Ok, so that's a big-bore 460.

Back when I was landscaping we had a BR600 (or maybe BR5xx) blower that was a loud SOB. Ear protection was a must with that thing or your head would be ringing all day.

My 362 seems considerably louder than my old 361 too.

 

I'd hate to hear a "loud" one. This thing was like having a dirt bike strapped to your back. I would have gladly carried the extra 4 ounces around all day for a better muffler.

 

My neighbors who hate me have an old wood farm/victorian house. That thing is like a paper house. I was outside a year or so agoand heard tthem cut out a pull cord light standing g on my porch outside 50ft away.

My saw running g is in day light hours. They started burning wood too this year so they run saws too cutting up their yard wood.

 

Yup that 10-10 & 7-10 series from the late 60's to mid 70's were well known for being ear busters.Havent run my 10-10 much yet cause it needs a carb kit & other projects are on the front burner instead,but that sure is a snarky little bassturd. Loads of torque for a 54cc saw,its just loud as as the early 60's 99cc 740 torque monster....

I don't even attempt to start either one without earplugs,not even for 30 seconds of idling/tuning the carb.
