    Kevin, I have thought hard about joining in, I've had great fun doing this the last 6 years. But I'm the middle of moving 125 miles away, and I have 87 yr old MIL facing hip surgery. I have to prove she is broke to HHS, which she is. It isn't easy to prove to them. I am just too busy this year. I'll be back next year! To all of you, enjoy the fun!

    I'm moving a couple hours north of where I am now. I will be living on the border of the White Mountain National Forest, I've got 5 acres on a dirt road.

    We started our move 6 months ago, we live up in the new house when I'm off, I only work 14 days a month. I still use the old house as a place to sleep when I come down to work, my youngest son and his girl friend still live there as they look for an apartment. Hopefully they'll find a place soon and we will sell it in the upcoming months. I already have a buyer who is ready and standing by to complete the sale. No I won't be off grid for now, But I may go solar in the future. I will be retiring next year sometime, and am looking forward to that. My oldest son lives in the new house so it is occupied when we are not there, no worries about break ins or squatters. Every trip up I take a load of wood, I had 15 cords c/s/s that is slowly but surely making the trip north.

    Kinda.:startled:He cuts the grass, and put in a garden. He grew some real big pumpkins. He has been helping me a lot, he stacks the wood I bring up.
