Headed out after I finish the scrap wood bin for the shop to work on the pile. Last update was in August. All of my efforts have been in my dad's shop. Still cannot come to call it my shop.

Along the way, I've processed a couple of logs. Today I'll be spending a full day on the pile. The plan is to make room to put up the woodshed on skids. The last time I updated I planned to put up a Holzhausen in the front yard. I've opted to put them in the backyard and the woodshed on skids in the front yard. Easier to move if I have to.

This scrap wood bin is my last project in the shop until the woodshed is complete and filled. Next weekend I'll pickup the first ton of two from Warwick of the Envi-Blocks I burn. The Envi-Blocks will be mixed with the firewood I've already cut. By mixing both sources I should be able to spread out the blocks through the season.

The other thing that has happened is that we are going to have mini-splits put in to replace the forced hot air. They will not replace the wood stove. Rather they will augment the wood stove in the west end of the house if needed. On the east end of the house where our bedroom was located, the wood stove does not reach. The mini-split will be the primary and only heat. Looking forward to this change. Especially since this will provide for individual zones for mini-split.

So much for best laid plans. I should stop saying my plans. It took me a great deal longer to complete my project than I hoped. Below are some pics:
