Oak is drying

    They were all hand split too I will not burn them prematurely.

    Remember that those end checks are caused by the exterior drying faster than the inside. Cells on the outside shrink, insides have not which caused pressure and checks form.

    Oak will lose the first 1/2 of what it is going to lose in a month or so. Its the second half that you need to wait out.
