20201020_174843.jpg Finally got to building racks for 3 more cords of storage. Took me a while to find good enough pallets, then my helper is always busy with school and football, so I managed to get her done yesterday. I have maybe 3 cords that needs to be CSS yet, then maybe 3 more in trees that need to be dropped. Then I should be 3 years, including this year.

Looks like he stacks double rows, which would be 2/3 cord per bay if those are 48x40 skids and 16" splits or 0.83 cord bays if 20 inch splits. Probably a little less if the height is only 36 inches as well.
I make my pallet bays the exact same way and even using three pallets on the floor I don't figure I get quite a cord in each as they are not even 40 inches tall.

Ya, definitely helps with uniform, sturdy pallets. I don't want to rebuild them for at least 5 years.

Splits average about 18 inches. Dealing with alot of tree service pickups. I stack double rows, about 5 and half a foot high. The middle slot is used for odd pieces that might throw the stack off. Not quite a cord in each rack, maybe 3/4.
