Plus your situation allows your wood to dry extremely fast. With the amount of rain in PNW the mix is just recipe for disaster in that regard.punky wood yet the wind blows fine just really moist air and I'll find black mold growing on wood that is still exposed to the air. Needs to dry out quick. Its perfect when the situation allows you to burn that and only that. Sometimes better as you get the full effect of wood that gets that dry and stays there. Cottonwood isn't a BAD wood but it draws the ire of those who find it more of a nuisance than helpful. Another man's sunset is another man's dawn..
Dude, you cut EVERY tree down?!? I understand, Mag. Poplar got me through shoulder season this year and more. We are lucky to be surrounded by trees. Mostly hardwoods. But we take what we can get.
I wish I could like that twice!! What type of employment do you have out there on the high plains, Mag? Sent from my Z832 using Tapatalk
I used to service Cat Scanners and X-ray for the manufacturer and drive to different hospitals. So when I retired 4 years ago I keep busy with the hobbies and wouldn't you know it that chainsaws was one of them. Being I live in a small town around ranchers and farmers word gets around that you know how to work on these little 2 stroke engines. So I work on just about any small 2 stroke engine like weed eaters, ice augers, small rototillers, Cut off saws, and of course chain saws. It is all fun.
