No, not cutting wood yet but time is getting close even if my body isn't. Took the atv to a fellow who lives only a couple miles from us. He used to be the mechanic where we bought our last atv and he is a good one. Now has a nice business of repairing. Lives on a dirt road Just on the edge of a large piece of state land. Not too many neighbors and poor location for business but does not seem to have a problem getting it! Had him put a new switch on handlebar heaters because last year I had only low heat and with gloves on that little bit did practically nothing; especially if plowing snow. Also had him install a long cord with switch so I can run the winch while off the atv. That will come in handy especially when rolling up the winch (guiding it) and when hooking up to a log or whatever. This week I hope to finish bringing up the wood we need for this winter and stack it in the barn. So far I've got almost a cord in the barn but need 2 more. With my body the way it is, the work goes pretty slow so it may take many days to get it all done, but it will get done. Pictures later or when I start hauling wood next week. Well, one picture that is by one of the wood piles where I'll be getting the wood next week.
slow and steady ,you will get it done ,but please take it easy and be careful ,you dont need anymore setbacks. and remember ,you can split horizontal if its more comfy standing
No. Most definitely not more comfy standing, especially now. Can't you just picture someone standing on crutches splitting wood?! :stacke:
Well, if you posted pictures of that, it'd be much clearer. I know you won't do the pics, or the horizontal thing, but wow.......that would be one for the history books, eh?
That might be as interesting as walking along in the woods and finding a pair or crutches on the ground. Looking up and seeing a hunter in a tree stand! Hum, how did this happen?!
I'll just bet you are real tired of nursing that hip as long as this ones taken but take it as easy and slow as you can.
