yes that is the way it is looking, thinking about a MM port job on the 661. I have a spot later this summer, less I change my mind and send another saw.

I know a guy in Denver, that gets cut off's from a place where they treat & mill railroad ties, before they treat them, they cut them to size, and he gets all the cut off's. They bring in oak from out of state on rail, then mill them and treat them in Denver.

He told me just not anyone can show up there, he kind of has his foot in the door. He goes there a few times a month with a dump trailer and gets chucks and blocks of oak, of various sizes. He told me he's been going there for close to 10 years, and his dad did it for 15 years before him. He has a place he lets it all dry, then sells it for firewood.

He told my it's easiest money, he has ever made, as it is all free to him other then time and gas picking it up. They dont charge him as it is a waste product to them. If your ever in Denver area, and head up Floyd hill on I-70 west, about half way up, over on the right (north side of road) you can see his pile of oak. That is where he sells it at, or he does deliver also for a fee.

I see that pile all the time, always wondered what they were doing with it.

Need more trees AND more water. Helps lead to more bugs in the summer.

Nice pics - nice wide open country. I just sold my 1989 F250 Centennial Edition this summer that I bought from a ranch out east of Chugwater. That truck didn't owe me a penny. Had nice Wyoming mud flaps that looked a bit out of place here in VT.

Bought a little Stihl through a guy from WY. I think I found it through the Fence Post. Met him half way and did a side-of-the road purchase. Lots of good memories from those years.
