    An old timer told me to put the saw at a very slight angle for perpendicular to reduce the length of the chip. I am not much of a noodler, but was wondering if that would alleviate some of the build up under the cover.

    Good God! What's a 50" slab of black walnut like that go for you think? Wish I had some in my stands!
