So, I have have a couple wood scores lately. However I gave no pictures of either for proof. The first one was a couple large box elder trees. Roughly totalling 2 chords.
And today's score was a large branch off of an ash tree that a neighbor wanted down. The ash I estimate to be about a face chord

    OK! FINE!! 20240605_174905.jpg
Here is the missing branch of ash I cut.
And here is the Box Elder trees bucked, ready to split. 20240605_175114.jpg
    And as a bonus!
With the crazy winds we've been having, this guy fell just a block from my house!

That ash, at the base of the tree, the bark is uber-weaved, deeply furrowed, I didn't know they got like that. But I don't get to see them. I don't know where a single ash tree is around here. I thought I had some on my land but I'm doubting my ID now. I only have hoarded one ash, died in a neighbor's yard, I didn't even know it was there until it was dead. I sure like the wood. I have also heard that they do grow in some spots around here, I have a logger on the lookout. Also recall a spot that they grew when I was a kid but I have no access now.

And the honeylocust I don't get to have. There's another guy in town that always seems to get the good scores in town before I do. Of course he has lived here all his life, and I've only been here almost 9 years.
