    So I finally have some good maple (silver I believe) to run some timed cuts. And it's the first wood the new truck has hauled home. :).

    Anybody want to take a guess as to what I'm up to? ;):saw:

    Definitely going to be some cookie cutting going on. I'm going to do a top-end comparison to start.....

    Side note: when I cut this tree, the sap running out of the stump was unreal. Like a faucet was turned on. Sugar season is definitely in full swing here.

    Nah. I think I'm gonna try something different this time. I'll set the camera up and get a bunch of still shots. Then I'll print the stills into a flip book and mail it out to anyone who wants to know the results.

    Actually, it's going to be a 70cc first. The 90cc is tucked in its box for the moment. Gotta clear out some equipment that has been here too long first.

    Removed a double trunked Norway maple at my grandfather's house on Saturday, and the sap was POURING out of the stump and all the cuts........
