No GTG threads on this site? Iowa Fall GTG link inside

I havee an Iphone4s and dont use tapatalk and post all the time. Im not sure what the difference is but any forum Im on I dont use it and all is well.

 

Rookie its easier to many of us. If you dont use it you dont understand.

For those of us in low signal areas on a phone TT seems to load way faster. At least for me?

 

Someone in the southeast needs to host a gtg. If I could find a good place I'd do one in the winter or summer.

 

There was one last year in like macon ga or somewhere. It was I think someone from AS.

But Yea we need one here in south east. I dont have any property where I live and am 3 hours from my farm so that would make it difficult for that as well.

Ok so there are several rules to the Husky 55 build.
1.) no pipes
2.) no alcohol
3.) stock cylinders (or equivalent cc size)

Would also like to share that hwy 92 between Martensdale and Indianola IA are closed for those that might be coming from the south. I recommend going up through Martensdale and across on Hwy G24.

Iowa 2015 Fall GTG (October 17, 2015)

 

We have a sponsor for a "Dirty Wood Cutting" competiton!
$50 & a new Oregon LGX chain for the fastest saw through a heavily mud clad log

So bring a saw and chain for the dirty wood competition!

 

How big of wood and type of wood? Sounds like wood I do most of the time. No rules just cut?

 

I will rub down a clean hackberry with some clean muddy slime from the creek. I was thinking 3-5 cuts in the dirty wood and then a timed cut in clean wood.

Not sure on size... Shaun will make race cants the day before the GTG with the mill. Will probably be hackberry or Maple. 16-20" bar would do I'm thinking. Sponsor might have a couple rules but he just wants it to be fun...

This is the shop. Might spot more bars in there somewhere (most of the good ones are hiding behind the blue ladder).

 

Nice monster that looks like it is attached to a saw about head high on the shelf between the boxes just past the bow bars

 

655bp with new 42" Windsor Speed Tip on it. It needs the dreaded gas/oil separator plug fixed.

I have a 36" Stihl rollomatic ES with the old wide tip on it in good condition hiding back there somewhere and just picked up a 36" TSB for the 9010's to run. I get into alot of big wood that tree services drop off here for me to cut up and burn.
