    -13 with the wind chill here now 8 PM. We're supposed to get down to about 1 degree overnight.....with the same wind speed, it's going to be like -21 :eek: :shiver::shiver::shiver::shiver:.

    That darn Krooser....this is all his fault!

    Comparing what the previous owner spent last winter, I'm doing well. There were issues with the ducting in the floor registers, and she was basically heating the underside of the house.

    Furnace seems to be working well.....no problems keeping up with this cold.

    Oh, and it's OAK'ed!! :thumbs:

    How did we all make out last night? I used just over 2 bags, two and a quarter bags. Stove Room was warmer than usual. 72 compared to 70. This was because my T-stat is on an outside wall and was colder than normal and calling for more heat than normal. I cannot think of a way to rectify this other than shrinking 4 feet and running the wire in my crawl space to an inside wall. But as it is I would probably just get stuck down there.

    Burrrr, -3°F without the wind chill this AM. I reset the stat so the setback was 72°F instead of 68°F. Probably used around 2 bags or so, But not complaining as I pretty much woke up sweating. Next time I'll use 70°F as the setback temp. 72°F was a bit warm for my liking, But I didn't want the boss to get a chill............... :whistle:

    Minus 3 degrees out at 7:30 am but 70 degrees in here with the wood pellet stove and NO OIL :)
    It is 86 degs in my basement!
    Remember!
    The "Low Drafter" don't use Oil or LP Gas because the "Low Drafter" don't burn his pellets too fast!

    No issues here turned stove up one notch to 5 , 74* inside 0* out when I left this am @ 3. just dumped another bag in didn't get my normal 24 hour /bag burn.

    I got 22 hours out a bag yesterday running on #2 out of five. The NG t-stat is set at 72F… the pellet burner keeps the living room around 74F. When it's below zero I let the NG run so the water pipes don't freeze in the crawl space… old house with a partial basement but the bathroom is above the crawl space.

    I refilled the stove ay 1:30 AM and have been running it @#3 since then… almost ready for another refill. Went out and bought some Uncle Jed's this morning… should be toasty tonite in the house and shop.
