I always said if we found one of these pistols I would buy it, but I don't think Mrs. Turbodiesel will go for it. At last at this time.:(
I guess we will just enjoy the pictures instead

Three generations of my family with three rifles hand made by my great great great great grandfather, Andrew, on display at Bushy Run Battlefield, Bushy Run PA, about ten years ago. Andrew made rifles from approximately 1810 till 1860, first in York PA, then in Emmitsburg MD, and finally in Geeseytown PA outside Hollidaysburg. My dad Bill (who passed away last fall) is in the middle with my brother Mark on the left with his arm on his son Mark's shoulder and my son Mike and his little brother Tim in front of me. This photo has been hanging on my dad's office wall for years and I just took it down to scan it:

I got to hold one of those heirloom guns in my hands when 8 looked at some trees at Brian's dad's place......what an amazing thing it is for family to reunite with something their ancestors crafted almost 200 years ago. Totally awesome.

I'm a sucker for colonial weapons....
