Good wood in limbs if one doesn't mind putting the work in. Ill usually take down to 3-4" in the rare instance I harvest a whole tree or top etc. Do you measure and mark, have a jig or just eyeball it Greg?
Gotta love 3-4" limb wood, no splitting and the harder varieties make coals well. Even the larger limbs only need 1 or 2 strokes of the splitter to be processed
I just eyeball and go for 18-20 inches, and try to haul tops and logs between 14-15 ft as my trailer is 16
