Welcome to the club. Yep, looks like you are getting a good start on a great wood pile. Just put you a top cover on it and hoard on.
Welcome Paul Booth A hint if you haven't done so, make sure you shut the dampers on your fireplace as they will draw warm air out of your house.
Welcome to the forum. You'll find we like pets, beer and lots and lots of pics. We have a saying pics or it didn't happen.
Welcome Paul Booth What part of the metro area are you located? I have 2 sons in the western part of the metro area.
Welcome to the land of woodenheads Paul Booth! Glad you could join our little band of merry makers! It looks as though you are as sick as the rest of us! You gonna fit rightin. The wealth of information that is shared here is boundless and the friends found here are priceless. Only one thing to remember; or it didn't happen!
Hi Paul Booth , Grab a cup of coffee and pull up a stump next to the fire. Glad to have you with us! From your pictures, you are off to a great start!
Welcome a board. (I don’t know, it’s a wood joke) Would love to see some more pics of that splitter. I like the way you think. LOL
Hi Paul. Welcome. West metro here. With a get away at our old homestead in NE MN. Looks like to you have things well in-hand with the wood start.
Thanks guys I'll get pics of the splitter tomorrow. I pulled it out of the weeds at my office a few months ago and repowered it with a 9hp Honda that I had laying around. I will be replacing that with a 13hp unit soon (little undersized). Most of the parts are from heavy equipment like a CAT motor grader. Question for you guys. What the heck is a shoulder season? I assume it's the in between season, fall and spring??? Sorry I'm new....
No problem on the questions sir. Yes, shoulder season is when we attempt to burn our lower btu’s in the hoard. More comfortable to burn cherry and ash and save the big guns for the nipply nights...Again, welcome
Ya I have a couple trees that have a few rounds in them. This one was the worst by far and I really dont want to ruin my chain or chains trying to get the last of it. A couple bits of lead isn't to bad but this one was "unloaded on"!
