New "yellow" chain on my 362

    I don't know who echo uses as a factory chain . Look at it close. I beleive they all have a maker mark on them of somesort. I haven't paid attention to my chain in awhile to remember.

    I bet echo uses it's own house brand chain that is branded for them but made by Carlton or oregon. Yes this safety chain will be similar to stihl safety green chain. There several different designs mg different manufacturers, but basically they are designed to have the rake more pronounced when the chain comes around the bar tip so that it is hard to have the tip come into contact with wood in a matter that causes severe kickback.

    If you want normal full chisel chain you don't have to buy stihl yellow, probably every maker has it. Your dealer I'm sure has it. If your shopping at lowes or home depot they probably do not have it.
