Happy thanksgiving to you and yours also. I may get something done on it today but I want to get some forms set at my shooting range bench, because I know we’re gonna have some excess concrete coming up Friday and probably Monday
The mold broke when he popped out! Started on Halloween and now Thanksgiving? That would be way ahead of schedule for me.
Well I did manage to get something done, Trimmed off the top of the 4x4 uprights. Finished up all the mulberry that I have. And started filling one bay with elm Can actually see that I put a dent in the “to be processed” pile
THAT is awesome! Very tidy. I like the separations for different flavors of wood. That really works. Kudos.
That is sweet! What are you using for a roof? Corrugated steel? If you were closer I'd give you all the plastic pallets you could want. I'll probably be taking some home because they are plastic. These ones from Japan are really well built, a bit different than the ones you have and how most are. Can handle 6600 lbs each supposedly Like this...
NICE job! Really liking it! Cant wait to see it full of wood. It is nice to see the rounds pile go down and get stacked. Late last Winter when i was redoing my storage area i had quite a bit on hand.
Didn’t use to be! I remember two or three years ago when I finally got one built that was worthy of showing you pictures of. I’m dreaming of someday getting to put up a shop building and it will have to go where my depleted stacks are now, so rather than refill them, and possibly have to move them in a year or two I’m starting over and trying to do it, right
Regular roofing steel. We have a bunch at work that has been there for years. I’m hoping there’s enough of the dark green to do it, but may end up with whiteish(cream) or barn red. Roof may not happen until spring, we’ll see
That rack will give you quite a few years of the satisfaction of just looking at it! Can't wait to see it full.
Getting fuller… the large bay is full of what was standing dead elm, the smaller one has mulberry in the back row and dead elm up front that is split down a little bit smaller because I’m gonna try and do some bundles. The partially filled bay one the right is gonna be hackberry. What you see stacked is the stuff in the pickup, it’s pretty green/wet. I have about that much more green to split and then a bunch that is drier that will go on top to fill it up and then some. pretty sure the whole thing isn’t big enough to hold everything I have on hand that needs processing
