New wheel = better sharpened chain?

    Do you guys seek a "master tooth" (shortest) when setting up to do a sharpening run?

    I do not worry about 1 or 2 cutters that might be a little shorter than the others. I spend more time making sure the left hand and right hand cutters are the same length.

    Not on my chains, because I always grind. On a chain that has been filed or cut with a tooth-by-tooth method, definitely. (Or, if it needs multiple passes, I just take passes until each tooth cleans up)
