ttdberg 's our official in house pellet He and his assistant daffonce find all sorts of neat stuff for the group!!
I decided to get 10 bags of these the other day. I cleaned the stove and started yesterday morning and my Mt Vernon wasn't running good when I got home later that night and I also noticed the house was cooler. I turned it off and cleaned it out this morning and found clinkers in the burn pot. Needless to say I won't be getting these again. A family farm and home has some softwood pellets. I think I'll try them next.
What's the sku # on those? I know the MWP's that I got the other day didn't even leave any residue on the pots of my Harmans - and that is very unuasual.
I just got back into the pellet stove heating and I had 30 bags of propellets from 5yrs ago. I was running a US Stove 6039,but now I have a pre AE Mt Vernon
Indeed MWP.......Michigan Wood Pellets. They get universally bad reviews. I have never burned them. Not the MWP Maine Woods Pellets Bogie and I were thinking of
Guess it gives MWP a bad name....... I think someone recommended those to me back in 2009 when I first started burning. Glad I found the forum before buying......
At At least I only bought 10 bags. I found a supplier for Somersets, but they had to close shop for a couple days to close their cabin up north. Been so busy At work that I haven't been able to get out to get a ton from them,so it's a good time to try out different pellets
I ran primarily Somersets and Propellets when I had to. Menards by me used to only carry Somersets, but now they don't. This place by me carries Somersets and Propellets.
True on trying a few especially with generic branding and you dont know who is filling those bags this time around. Thankfully the SKU reveals all.
Cant get Sets up here. I tried 2 bags back around 2011 or so when Lowes had some. Have not seen any since.
