    Wasnt having any luck with this new UPC but then I found this:

    "Dummy (number system 4) UPCs are for private use. This means anybody (typically a retailer) that needs to assign a UPC to an item that doesn't already have one, can use any number system 4 UPC it chooses. Most importantly, they can know that by doing so, they won't pick one that may already be used. So, such a UPC can and does mean something different depending on who you ask, and there's no reason to try to keep track of what products these correspond to."

    So it would seem that TSC is now inventing their own "dummy" UPC codes. Looks like they have at least 2 other products they sell with UPC similar to this one.

    will711 do you recall is this the same UPC (or similar) to the one you reported that came back as TSC branded as opposed to a real pellet manufacturer?

    When I checked with Scot Linkletter, He said the MWP in the TSC new bags would have the same UPC code.

    My guess its the 851050003004 Appalachian Wood Pellets, Inc. AKA Cheat River brand!! About the only brand they need to fool us into buying IMHO!!

    Most of what my local TSC sells as "Hardwood Blend" are GS, MWP, and NA. Doubt these are MWP based on info from Scot. Don't think they are NA. Brown wraps are consistent with Warm Front. GS = Warm Front = NEWP, thus I'm going with the new mystery product being NEWPs. Also possible we are are seeing a preliminary / early release run of bags with "generic" UPCs before the bag designed was finalized with "real" UPC stamped on them.

    Will, that UPC you saw is remarkably close to the one I saw. Digits 2 - 6 are exactly the same.

    Could be, NEWP hasn't bagged for them yet in the TSC wrapper.

    Someone is trying to slip one past our UPC tracking. We will figure it out or get pretty close!!

    Congrats, Congrats and welcome back!!

    Yep, Geneva's. And most likely in the same class as Maine Choice. I'd try a few and see how they work in your stove.

    Got confirmation tonight the Hardwood Blend pellets in the new TSC bags with the "dummy" UPC code 449394 031717 are in fact GS. Also saw the first batch of MWPs in the new TSC bags tonight.

    Trying to make sense out of all the different UPC codes from different batches.
    Can someone tell me if possible what's in the white bags at the TSC in Farmington, CT?

    So far I have only seen 2 up north of you. MWP and Curran(AKA North American's). But if you print the following and take it with you it should help. If they aren't on the list post the numbers and we'll see what we can find. ;)

    UPC Codes on bags.

    0899186002003 = Curran/North American
    711039328002 = Dry Creek Products, Inc./BioMaxx
    08899594002008 = Geneva's
    852543003066 = Maine Woods Pellet

    899186 002089 = Curran Hardwood
    449394 031717 =Most likely Green Supreme's

    Thanks Jay.
    Wish this lady from Farmington was more friendly....lol
    She said they currently have 2 types:
    -the 'TSC brand' blend which is what she called it, in red/white bag (MWP maybe??). I didn't even try asking for the UPC code the way she was talking...:picard:
    -a new brand she said "Appalachian"
