TSC has a promo, some sort of layaway and $25 discount per ton, which brings the price to $224.50 I will stop by today to see what they have in stock, last season the hardwood were too much ash for my linking but the softwood was very good.
Have grabbed 2 tons from Leominster this year what has been keeping this old house comfortable and happy to report they are again this year MWP which are burning super nice great pellet for start of the season .
From what I see in this area Eastern mass GreenSurpreme / Lignetics / New England wood pellets is dominating HD , Lowes and TSC . So other than a couple of supply houses I go to I decided to give them a try for the convenience of being in HD often :
Yeah it sucks . I tried 2 bags of GS and now I remember, lots of ash and piles of glowing pellets in the burn pot resulting in a bad flame . Back to the Matras and Easyblaze .
Someone I know is using GS this year in the XXV with opposite results. Very little ash and good heat. Batch difference or stove difference....who knows
A bit of both. But mainly GS's are bagged at at least 7(or more) different plants. You'll have 100% hardwoods, blends and even a 100% softy(mostly DF) tossed in. View attachment 222308
WAIT A MOMENT !! I thought we were talking Greene Team as that is what she is getting good results from
Any idea who's pellets these are? Unfortunately I'm limited to tsc, depot or lowes around here as none of the stove places in the area have pellets. Im not thrilled with how ashy these are but it's better than the piles of mush that lowes call pellets (skids all got wet).
Harman Lover 007 thanks! They put off decent heat and aren't priced bad ($5.49bag) but very dirty in my opinion. Might be stuck with them until I find another supplier.
Appears TSC re-designed their bags for the 2022/2023 heating season, here are some pics. These are MWP which is nice, because I like them a lot!
I saw that in July when my local TSC had its pre-buy sale. Since I got 6 tons from HD last spring I don't need any this year - but MWPs from TSC are usually my go-to pellets.
They are. The words on the bags are similar to the old format, where it says hardwood on the front of the bag. Near the bottom and on the sides in smaller print, it says hardwood blend.
