proper socket and a ox-actetaline torch ( aka flame wrench) generally do not need the BFH which is the primary ford tool
Ok, of the monstrosity that I posted yesterday of the 2020 Silverado HD, they released this version. The high country model So you have to pay a lot extra to get one that doesn't look like crap.
Friend traded his High Country edition for a midnight Edition because it was a significantly cheaper and the only difference was badging and smaller tires which he wanted.
Thats looks better-go ahead and order it in white Horkn Those wheels do look like a biotch to clean though Seriously, you got a lean going at least...what’s now leading the pack of choices?
Well I was all enamored with the etorque hemi ram rebel. Now that real reviews are hitting with real mpg, they are not getting anywhere near the mpg that the epa sticker says. They are supposed to get 22 mpg, they only are getting 16-17 freeway. Yeah the interior is the best on the ram, but unless the non rebel version actually gets the 22 mpg they advertise, then that's a no go for me. I'm leaning toward the coyote 5.0 10spd Ford f150 fx4 supercrew. I've been waiting for one big thing to happen to soften the blow of an expensive truck payment. It's getting there. What a slow and long drawn out process.
Yes my friend Horkn but the research, due diligence and all the factors you are methodically considering are part of the fun! More fun than the actual receipt of the big payment book. You sound like me, I’m such a geek when it comes to these things-I’m researching tires for my car right now spending way too much time on it...but when we make a decision, it feels better knowing we got what we wanted...It’s what we work for right? Good luck!
I've gotten 2 separate "private invitation" rebate offers from Ford for 2018 F150 this year...IIRC it was $2k that was over and above anything that is available to the general public...supposedly. No idea why they are sending me this stuff...never bought a new vehicle, and its highly unlikely that I ever will.
Yeah, I've gotten enough incentives that the fact that I only have FCA and GM really doesn't matter. Ford has been so aggressive with their incentives to keep sales up, it really doesn't matter. The standard 10 spd and dual injection 5.0 gets great mpg. You also don't need to pay 1300 extra to get the etorque over the regular hemi. Now the rebel has standard 3.92 gears. You can get much freeway friendlier gears on the Ford. I love that ram let's you put a heated steering wheel on all but the tradesman for $100. Ford still doesn't get that. You have to buy a super loaded Ford to get that. Heck ram came out with a " north edition ram" that has the good stuff for not a lot ( relatively). Big horn Sport north edition ( this one isn't a north edition, because it'si without the factory lift and the mountain rated falken wildpeaks) It looks great in white
Just get everything you want Horkn , no room for regret...its a big commit so a few extra dollars on the payment is nominal-its like gun safes and trailers among other things-whatever you think is enough, go up one size so as to not regret later-if the next option package includes something you really want, just do it...You’re in it for more than a minute,,,might as well be happy while paying for a new white truck...you’ll be glad you did...and we like spending your money...
Yes, there's that saying about only regretting the things you didn't do. My wife and I were discussing this a few minutes ago.
You could always save some and buy a used one and get what you want, there Is enough reviews out to see real world MPG etc. But you won't have the newest technology and these engines that get top MPG. My Ram 1500 with the 3.7 (this is the v6 though, your quoted mileages are from v8) is 2 years old and best you can do with about no stops on backroads is 20mpg, highway travel on interstates and in and out of the woods I see between 15 to 19mpg (19 would basically be an interstate trip with short in town stops for a few hours then back on interstate) regularly , which is how I drive my work truck. I don't tow, I don't haul. I use 4wd and there is lots of idling to run the AC in summer and heat to have a hot truck in winter which kills my mpg.
My wife might regret something she did do....marrying me lol. As for trucks, if it fits your budget, get what makes you happy.
Yeah there's no way that truck is a "north edition"...its white! How would you ever find your truck?!
Lol. I think you can get them in any color. Edit: . You'd just hit the fob to remote start it if you get the white one. Then you can find it.
Bosch sensors. Skip the socket for removal. Unplug the sensor, cut the wires & use a 7/8 box end to break them loose. Ad a 15/16 to the 7/8 for additional leverage as necessary. In through the inner fender minus the front wheel is the best access to the upstream sensors. High temp anti seize & re install the new ones using a split sensor socket.
