I generally think this is a good tractor for the money. It does not have a huge loader capacity, but for around the house it works great. Much like chainsaws, always want the next size bigger
You need a 3rd function.(It give you 2 buttons on the loader joystick to open and close it) W R long makes one and it gets good reviews on the tractor forums.
Hey Woods, JD sells the hook & bullet (JD's quick connect) set up for about $40 to fit your machine. That should make your mod's a bit easier from the SS hook up. OR if you found a dealer (for the grapple), he might have the correct set and swap with you. One suggestion, a friend has the same grapple and those mounts are prone to twist. I would add a little continuous steel from left to right to "tie" both sides together, or a few diag. braces from the outer sides of the mount to the main body of the grapple on each side.
A little over 300 lbs according to the manufacturer. That is why I opted to hack and weld to mount it vs adding another 100lbs with the adapter. Not going to be I king huge loads, but picking from the landscape trailer and holding logs while cutting is the plan...
