You boys gotta check out my parents stash up in Upstate NY. Elevation 2000’. 12’ by 15’ by 9’ shed me and my dad built. Loaded with ash
Dang that’s a nice place to hoard if there ever was one!!! Welcome to this place, we only encourage you to get more so there’s not much of a 12 step plan here. At least it is plentiful for you and you have a lot of great woods to use at your disposal.
Youd be surprised. We burn through about 1/3 of that shed (3 cords or more) each season. Most of that ash is already seasoned 3+ years. I also have a nice cord and a half of what I call butter ( the best splits) cut and stacked and covered off to the side. I’ll occasionally bring home 100 pieces or so to supplement my stack on Long Island
Bobby Maple refused to help with that job as did Bobby BTU. Stoveaclause was there though and he smoked ribs as well.........but he put ketchup on dogs killing the entire day
Look what the beetles have done to these beautiful ash trees. This one was taken down 3 years ago up at my parents. Stillhave this wood. Supplied over 3 cords. 40” diameter
Welcome aboard. Nice. Like your beer choice also. Would you be able to store some of your wood at your folks place?
Welcome Stoveshamster From the looks of things you've come to the right place! Welcome to Stoveaclaus and Bobby Maple as well! I think you're gonna like it here!
Bobby Maple is just a Barrel Chested man waiting for temperatures to drop so he can enjoy his first full season with his quadrafire stove!!!
Welcome to the forum Stoveshamster. A neighbor from the other side of no-man's land... Just FYI, you have a piece of steel embedded in that round on the lower left of the picture, indicated by that black spot reacting with the oak tannin.
