New to me truck! Thoughts on Ford aluminum body.

My “short bed” f350 has a 6-8” or 6-10” bed. I don’t know if they’ve ever been just 6’. Crew cab is very large and I can actually sleep back there on long hauls.

Where the long beds really shine, at least on slightly older trucks, is the much larger fuel tanks. Otherwise I’ve never missed an extra 14” of bed length.

Been looking at the cool cargo vans lately.

 

My youngest boy works for Anheuser Busch and occasionally shows up in a big Ford van. Lots of room in one of those.

 

My brother bought a transit van and converted the back into a storage and a quasi rv.

 

Is he looking for any new friends??

 

Love my 2019 F150. I've done a few mods. Borla S-Type, Bilstein 5100's. GTR Lighting Led bulbs

 

Looks like a leveling kit? Did you tint the front windows or did they come that way?

 

Yes, the Bilstein 5100 front are @ the 1.75" setting. I had the front windows and windshield tinted at Ziebart. Rear are factory tint. Also have the Rhino bed liner.

 

I like those lift shocks. Did they make it ride better than the stock ones? You can't go wrong with bilsteins

 

Yes. Truck is more planted to the ground. Before the rear end would bounce going over bumps. Not anymore. It rides like a truck should

 

Sounds like the right upgrade. I have the fx4 off road package, and that rear end bounce is even more pronounced on the fx4 vs the standard shocks like yours had.

 

I average the same 18.1 mpg on my 'yote powered truck. What greats do you have in yours? I've got the 3.31's.
