Good info Horkn looks like my boat is quite a bit heavier than yours . Mines 3500 lbs dry plus a tandem axel trailer and gear, and it’s got a higher profile so much less wind resistance. So I guess getting 8-9 is about right.

Mines supposedly ~3500 lbs with trailer. A lot of the weight is in the 351 V8 in it. 19'6" boat. Now I also know that mine weighs a couple hundred more than factory from when I redid the interior. I suppose I should really take the trailer to get it weighed to know the exact weight.;)

But yes, it's a ski boat, it's supposed to be minimalist. Well, at least a ski boat designed then was. Most newer ski boats are pretty extravagant, expensive, and heavy.

The newer “ski” boats are definitely extravagant, expensive, and heavy. There more like wake surfing boats. The funny thing is I see Those boats all the time just cruising around or pulling tubes!
