To each his own, but it's not worth the cost if you go through very much fuel at all. Not to mention having all of those metal cans to dispose of. The MotoMix is a 50:1 mixture of high octance ethanol-free fuel and Stihl's HP Ultra oil. If you have access to EF gasoline all you have to do is buy the HP mix oil and you're running exactly the same thing . . . for significantly less cost. Just a suggestion to help you save some money if you'd be interested.

Now, I'd be lying if I said I haven't suggested the premix to folks though. Any time a friend/acquaintance who doesn't go through much mix in any given season asks me about fuel I point them in that direction. I do that for two reasons. First, for someone who doesn't use much fuel it's a lot easier than mixing and keeping tabs on mix-fuel versus straight gas. Second, it's been my experience that the group of folks who don't use a lot of fuel are often not the best at general maintenance and tend to not drain their equipment at the end of the season. Since the premix is EF there is less risk/concern in that situation.

And, as clemsenfor mentioned, you can 'burn' a lot of cash making just a few cuts with a big saw if you're running premix at $32 per gallon!

That sucks. Truth-be-told, I can't find it at any stations in my area. Thankfully there is a small engine repair place a half-hour away who has EF gas and will sell it to customers in small quantities.

Check http://www.pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=IA This is a website with all ethanol-free gas. I see many listings for 91 octane, which is what I use for all of my small engines and I even run a couple of tanks of E0 through my big mower at the end of every season.

The way I look at it, if we don't try to find and buy it, nobody sell it.

I have the pure gas app on my android phone. Never use it. Its not that hard to find it around here. I live in an area with several large lakes so its all over the place.
