Keep the bike. You need something to stay busy when it is too hot to be splitting wood. I ride this one on warm days like today. It was about 55ºF when I pulled back in at home.

Those in line 6 engines from the 50s were pretty darned good engines. I'm loving that old truck.

good evening fellas. yea i don't haul alot in the '64, but it still hauls my saw and brings a little in. i have another truck to haul with. i have had several fast cars but the bike is fast! i like to end the evening with a ride, kinda like a reward for getting through the day. california truck ,crazy clean, no rust , and the six with 3 on the tree. great parade truck, lucky to have it.your bike is sexy. i'll bet that just cruises great!

Yeah, probably half of my 2 acres of woods is dead standing ash. There was a single ash tree in my neighbor's yard that somehow survived, and they took it down in October to expand their driveway!!!

My parents are out near Williamsburg/Marathon, all of their ash trees are dead too.

ash is good wood to burn, hate to see them go. beetle plauges worry me about the long term use of firewood.

Then god forbid wild fires (know its more humid and more precip out there....). Hopefully not, if the unfortunate did happen, then flash floods and mud slides.

that is what i mean. the trees we burn now need many years to be big enough to be firewood. if we lose them all to parasites not native here it would be decades to replace them. if the weather changes too we could loose woods we take for granted. i can"t even imagine that.

If you have areas that are mostly ash, get out in the spring and plant lots of seedlings. You might as well get started replacing them and for goodness sakes don't just use a single species.

Not to worry about losing trees 1964.
Are you old enough to remember the rain forest propaganda that was spread back in the 90's? The rain forests will be comp0letely cut down in less than 20 years.

    Yeah, right.
