Why did you lose your account in the first place? I don't know you from Adam but I'll say randy is good people.
Did you do all of the work to this ? What is this from ? Thank you Sir ! There are a few other things done to that one.
You are avoiding answering any specific questions, which usually means that you are full of yourself and/or full of crappola You put up posts advertising that you modify saws, then refuse to take on a simple job on a saw that you claim to get great gains from. You post up pictures of ported cylinders and are elusive and vague about whether or not you did the work youre advertising Explain to me how and why you shouldnt be viewed as a con, a sham peddling snake oil trying to take advantage of this forums members ?
I’ve done quite a bit of milling with my 661. Now what I’m about to say might not be a very popular opinion round these parts, but here goes: you certainly don’t need to have it ported or make any modifications whatsoever in order to cut lumber with it. Even the oiler mod, which I have done, could be worked around if you cut your bar oil with ATF or diesel. My advice: just cut some lumber and see how you like it. My guess is, porting won’t seem nearly as important afterwards. It’s a pretty strong saw right out of the box. Things like, not having a sharp chain, will slow down your performance considerably more than, not having a ported saw.
I've been so busy with work, kids and the farm that I haven't had the time to really rin the 661. Well, I finally got to put her into some big oak a couple of weeks ago. Running a 32" bar RSC chain. I think I finally got her broke in. Time to mill some of this stuff into slabs. The logs on the trailer are actually from a smaller tree I was working on that day. I hope to eventually get the larger logs to the house too. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Was actually able to lift one end of the log with my tractor. Mill is all assembled, just need to mount it to the saw and do the oil mod. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
