Most every member here is well versed in burning firewood. I've always considered this site a great place to learn and share, and many here have been burning wood for decades and decades. However, there is a large number of folks who aren't on firewood forums who I think will be burning wood for the first time considering current prices of other heating options this coming winter. To do my part and help educate those people, I am starting a new series on YT about basic firewood principles. I know its common knowledge for most here, but hopefully it will help some people on their journeys.
Nice. I’ll share that around a bit. You forgot to mention a moisture meter needs to be used on a fresh split tho. Another thing that should be stressed. Wet wood creates chimney fires. Not just any chimney fire, the type that burns houses to the ground. Much of that danger has been eliminated greatly by one piece chimney liners but,,,,,,
