What I wouldn't give for any building tall enough to house my truck in, and with a little extra space to get rid of the 8x10 shed that my mowers and blowers, and sometimes a ton of pellets are in.
My under-house garage can hold the car and the bike (barely, but it works). But it isn't even tall enough to try to get the truck in, and even if it were, I don't think it is wide enough to get a door open (and the bike certainly wouldn't fit then.
I think the trick is work out how much space you need then build 3 times bigger. That's what I am doing, but unfortunately my bank account is not going to like it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
leoht, yup as a single guy, raising 2 nephews, I bought a 4 bedroom 2.5 bath house on 22 acres with 2.5 car garage and 30 by 40 horse/pole barn. Plenty of room!! Fast forward, 15 years later with wife, daughter, foster daughter, dog, occasionally mother in law.. I swim in the estrogen ocean.. And how can I build a man room above garage....... Life's great
I have been wanting to build a new shed / pole barn since I brought my property from my grandfather 15 years ago. I have been saving like mad for the past few years once I got in front on the home loan, and lots of overtime at work has finally put me in a position where I can build my ultimate man cave / garagemahal. I will start my own thread when the build starts. Anyway I have plenty of leave stocked up so if you are planing to build a man room in the future I might be able to come over and give you a hand with it! Do you think an Aussie bloke could offset that estrogen. It would have to be summer there tho because I don't do well in sub freezing temperatures. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well, Jack Straw at least has a ladder for "anti-slippage", and a safety rope. As long as he doesn't outweigh the Tundra?? He should be all right. That guy, well, I think he just likes nurses.
Jack that looks great!!! Now I wonder where Kerry will be parking her car? New barn or still in garage? Have to watch these girls. I'm betting one of the first things to go into new barn was the tractor. I like the way you did things including the drainage. I remember talking about that when I was visiting. It is close to what I was picturing. You'll never be sorry you put that up.
