Somehow i knew one of you Husky guys would pick up on that. Its nothing against the brand or Husky owners, just that many years owning the same model blower and positive feedback on here. The Echo rep was at my OPE last year and i happened to be there. I was really grilling him on their product but couldnt get a GREAT deal on a saw. Dont think i wouldve bought one anyhow!

Is that the same model saw Midwinter was holding and it looks like a toy. 2019 GTG pic somewhere?

They sold me. I don't really cut more than 2 cords a year so a pro saw is not really necessary for me. When I do need to cut, I would like to have a reliable saw that can finish the job. The Timberwolf was a lot of power, and pretty affordable. It was a good purchase and I am looking forward to a lot of good afternoons with that saw.

Happy to! I am on 2 acres and much of that is grass. ... there isn't a lot around that I would like to cut down but I suppose I could make some calls if I am feeling like I have too much time/energy.

We ran 1 tank thru it Saturday, cutting vines, brush and small trees, my son doing most with it then.
I really ran it last night, we cut hickory and oak limbs on the jig for 1 1/2 hrs. 2 tanks of gas last night. 0329212002.jpg 0329212002a.jpg
We had cut a little when I took a pic of the limb pile 0329212020.jpg
This is what we cut on 1 tank of gas and oil 0329212035.jpg 0329212035a.jpg
This is what we have left to cut tonight. Mostly bigger limbs 0329212140a.jpg
The to-be split pile will be bigger, for sure

What we cut and stacked last night is above the split pieces... 0329212140.jpg
As JimBear said, the chain is a bit chatterey. I'm going to see if I have another chain to fit it.

    It's a handy little saw.

For a minute it looked like you were wearing a polo shirt. I was thinking Jeff really dresses up for cutting firewood.

What is the bar kerf, .050” or .043” ?
Maybe I missed it does it have a 12” or 14” bar?

    Carlton Chainsaw Chain

These chains are semi-chisel that aren’t the low kickback type.

It's 12", .050 gauge, 45 DL bar. I had a new Stihl chain (regular chain) just bought for our 12" pole saw, was going to try it, it was 44 DL...:picard:...

Those are great little saws! There a arborist close by, that bought one of them did a muffler mod, and reset the timing on one,it’s a real power house for its size,I was going to buy one myself, but ended up in the Stihl shop one night and bought a 193 instead, still toying with the idea of the echo as well, just to try it out. They are super lightweight saws

I might see if my dealer will let me demo a MS193T or MS201T. He had both in his shop.

This little saw has a great oiler on it. I have it on max. Uses 1 tank of oil to 1 tank of fuel. I could probably turn it down a little, but it keeps the chain cool. Check out the oil spray at the end.

    That’s odd, I don’t remember that b/c being 45dl. I run 44dl on mine with the Stihl bar. It’s 3/8lp x .043” with 12” bar.

You can put that Stihl bar on that saw. You just need to make new holes in the Stihl bar for the adjuster & drill a vertical hole down thru the kerf into the new holes for oil travel. Then you don’t have that oddball chain hanging around.
