I'm cooking in the almost mud. Shouldn't bother my butt in the primo. This warm spell allowed me to get through the 3" of built up ice in front of the shop. Should help with the eventual mud season that's just around the corner.
Bling! Do you TIG? Some stainless tubing and panels..... buffed up all shiney. Although the rat rod look frees you from the "rules"
Yeah I tig a little its actually hooked to the welding table right now....thought about stainless but would not be feasible unless I had your moneyso I'm thinking mild steel for the most part and maybe some stainless counter tops or something. I did a all stainless/ aluminum body with custom stuff last year for a fire dept but didn't post pics cause there's too many know it alls on here(not you)
I'm sure you will figure something out. Hey can you get paper plates to match the wheels when you are done ?
I'm good at ruining the tungsten. Filler rod in one hand, the torch in the other AND a gas pedal, chit I need one hand to hold the other steady and both feet to keep my azz on the stool in the dark under the helmet. I've rusted some metal before and rattle can clear coated it. That might make a nice earthy look but that's exactly opposite those wheels.
SKEETER McCLUSKEY correct me if Im wrong but you own one of the smaller joes right? Congrats on your purchase of the big joe! I love my joe 3.
No I own the big joe series 1 with all stainless/ black.it has the faulty hinge.theres a company in Jamestown ny that made a upgraded hinge for KJ,so I contacted them and it's no longer in production. My plan is to assemble the new one and get some measurements to fit a newer airlift hinge onto the old one...kamado joe reps say it can't be done....hold my beer......
Hope it works out. The air lift hinge is nice, that's one of many reasons why I didn't go with the first generation Joe. I also like the slo roller feature that the newer models come with.
