CTPilot2015 - any updates? it wasn't clear from your post if you actually received the first 'emergency' ton. did you get a refund?
They have some nerve, STILL taking people's money and not delivering pellets for people that prepaid months back.....AND they still have a sign out front for wood pellets sold here.
Given what I've read and that news link that TT posted above, I'd say you were fortunate for that 'association' Dewain - glad to read you got your $$$ back and -always- smart to have a back-up plan.. Sounds like you got lucky w/ the refund vs. others that may be waiting till Jan./Feb./March '16 for their deliveries.. Frankly, I'm a little surprised the states AG office hasn't stepped in at this point.
They recently made the news... Posted earlier by ttdberg Pellet delivery delayed in Thompson I actually came across the above story on Forest Business Network
ttdberg already posted the link earlier, I just found it on the other website, so no credit to me. I just thought it was interesting that it was there.
Some more interesting information on Facebook being shared. Group: Webster area, current events and information
The last time they communicated to me they said I had to wait and they would do the right thing. They also said that they were getting calls from TV stations and the state police. So I have filed a formal complaint with the Connecticut Consumer Protection Agency and Local 12 TV in Providence
While in Facebook, go to search and type in that group name "Webster area, current events and information " you will be able to click on the page and when your on that page just scroll down to the thread.
x3 (sort of)... After being on forums that are organized, FB (to me) is just 1 big thread of 'subscribed" posts.. I look at my wife's FB page periodically, ugh.... I prefer the organization(content excluded) of MOST forums (there is a private one I browse periodically, and I think that those who designed it, don't know what a real forum is like (aka, I cant find anything)).
I did respond to this as I am about 4 minutes away, but once I read the whole thread I decided as a fellow biz owner to delete my response and knowledge. But the hell with it, that being said I wish I was on the forum earlier to help out on this topic.
Saw the post before you deleted it. And I had the heard the same story. I understand about your decision to remove it being a business owner, biz's should work together, but in some cases that just can't happen when a line is crossed.
