Hi Dewain. Just curious if you know yet - what kind of pellets will you be getting, and when they will they be delivered?

Not yet. They started advertising again. I was hoping for delivery by now. Last month he said late August. So time to stop in again to see.

I called today to get a status update. They are planning to start calling people within a couple of weeks. I was told product was in transit and the first deliveries would be Maine woods. They are not producing yet. They still have hurdles to get over with the fire dept and others in obtaining proper permits it sounded like. I locked in at $205, and a local place is selling Maine woods at $270.

If it's Maine Woods and not Maine Choice, then you're getting a decent pellet. However, your original post said their backup was a Maine made 100% hardwood pellet, and I think the Geneva name was mentioned somewhere. Maine Woods does not produce a 100% hardwood pellet. They produce a blend. Geneva makes Maine Choice. They also market pellets under the Geneva name and may make a 100% hardwood pellet, but I haven't burned it so can't comment on the quality. I don't like the Maine Choice.

Got a call this morning. Woman stated manufacturer notified them production of pellets for them won't be for a couple of weeks so now first deliveries delayed up to two weeks. I asked the name of the product. Maine's choice. I mentioned we were told Maine's wood. She said no, its always been Maine's choice, nation's choice and one other choice brand. I asked how confident was she in the new date and she said very. More to come.

Oh man. I don't like where this is going, but I hope it works out ok for you. For what it's worth, when I called to inquire they told me Maine Wood too.

So guys/gals, my adventure with these people has ended. First let me say, that each of you should form your 'own' opinion, as I am 'not' stating anything negative about this business, never have on this thread, nor will I here now. On that clarification, the business has discovered that this site exists, and monitors the threads. As a result of such monitoring, they noticed the comments from 'other' individuals, and seeing my name here on this thread, 'associated' me in the same group as 'others' who are negatively commenting on this business. As a result, the business called me the morning of my delivery, which was a one way conversation explaining what type of person I was, told me to come pick up my refund, was canceling the order , and didn't want to do any business with individuals such as me, then hung-up. Guilty by 'association' I guess. So I got my check, went to my back up plan, and got my pellets else where. Once again, I would like to state, I am 'not' saying anything 'negative' here about this business.

Sorry if we caused you grief Dewain!! But honestly, If they haven't supplied you by now, Its probably best you find some elsewhere.

If they can't take the heat. They shouldn't be in the kitchen!! And they are most likely just using this as an crappy excess for their lack of success................... Blaming it on what we say here is total hogwash IMHO. Its a few tons they won't sell this season and the only reason why is because they didn't execute............... :picard:

A bit lame to blame it on a bunch of beer drinking boxstore pellet burners who don't really know chit(so I've been told)!! :loco:

Glad you got your money back. You would have been getting "less than stellar" pellets anyway...win, win in my book. A reputable company would have kept you in the loop and delivered the pellets you paid for (not that you would have wanted those brands). Their original add said "3 weeks out" and this was back in March...we're in October....HELLO!!!

Just my opinion here but if it was my business I would have delivered on time with extraordinary service, knowing it would get mentioned in this thread. But that's just me.

Or even better, than can join in on the conversation and explain what they are trying to do. I would love to hear from them. They are close enough where I could be a potential customer.

Dewain, I'm really sorry to hear this happened to you. It's a very unfortunate set of circumstances. As a fellow pellet pig, I'd like to know what your backup plan was. Where did you go in the end, and what did you end up scoring to heat your home? Do tell!

Hey man. Look at it this way 4 tons of infernos or similar is better than no money no pellets. Im happy you got your money back. Excuse after excuse it seems you got with them. I also second the idea of them jumping in this conversation. Maybe they are going to have a great product one day. But they need to come on here and explain
