That is basicly the next question, but I think i can guess pretty well from looking. Cant see his axle in the pics though.
You should trade it for because that poor trailer is As you keep Loading her past her limits.. it’s abuse I tell ya
Im suuuure you didnt Jason! Collateral damage! It happens though. Aint it great when you can back right up to where your cutting? Keep gettin after it!
Thanks. Been wondering how much wood I can put on mine without hurting the trailer or myself. Its big enough to put a full cord on. Just not so sure I want to do that. The major source I used to use is forest service land. Its a 40 mile drive each way, so I'd rather not take more trips than i need. The most readily available wood is pine. Even dry (<20%), that is roughly 3000 lb a cord's worth. Wet heavier. I see firewood sellers driving sslloooowwllyy down dirt roads loaded with well over a cord of wood, the trailer with a bit of a lean to one side. . I take it your measure of max load is still having at least an inch of travel in your springs? .
I do watch that gap. I’ve owned it many years and have loaded it in similar fashion. These pics were '14. If I've been doing it wrong, something would have screamed foul by now.
Nope, I wish I could cut on the other side of the road but that's American Towers property. I have enough where I'm at though. Since it's raining today, I'll do some chain grinding and hopefully get back tomorrow for a load.
I'll probably do the same minus the grinder. Was going to finish the hickory today got about 15 rounds from the trunk left. Just wasn't up for dealing with the big stuff the past week or so.
That little trailer does me fine but y’all had me lookin. What I'm seeing is these 3,000GVWR trailers are rated to carry 2000-2200 (they weight about 800-850). Can't find one under about $1500 so I'd be paying a lot of money to carry what, another couple hundred. I'm not sure it's worth it.
I wouldn't worry about it until your trailer giveS up or you want to upgrade to a lot bigger trailer. Tell then don't mind the mule load the wagon!
Truck and trailer load from the honey hole today. Spotted a couple turkeys chasing a chicken around this house. No idea if they were pets.
This is definitely the most wood I’ve ever had. I’m betting all said and done, I’ll end up 5-6 years ahead on wood. I still have 6-7 trees to drop.
