Have to admit, it issn't much fun toting around the 42" bar. This 36" is much better.
Absolutely no need to cut 'em low. There is just so much wood in them, I couldn't let it go.
The land-owner was my boss at the bike shop. That started a friendship so there is no timeline on getting wood. After falling that 3 stem tree, he told me I could go further back in the woods. I thought that was close to the property line, so that news just opened up more wood. BUT... my staging area is packed again. I need to split some. :D

Takes me back to my Army days climbing 500' microwave towers in Germany as part of the mobile maintenance team. I didn't stay on that job too long as I'm not a fan of heights...

Oh heck no!! I’d be terrified.
    Lol, quite a shocking endeavor!

Right about the white arrow there is a utility pole exists that supports a line of some type going up the access road. Those trees are smiling at me each time I pull out. One is leaning towards that line. Not sure I have the cahonies (not misspelled, check U.D.) to try it.

Bull rope, come along, and some wedges make my cahonies grow exponentially.

I have all of thee above, except for the exponentially large....

It'll be hella easy to load too. They're right beside the road. The tree behind the garage, I used a bean bag to throw rope. With these, I think that is out of my range. Any tips on getting a rope tied off as high as possible?

The Big Shot. You’ll wonder why you didn’t get one sooner.

have you tried the between the legs two handed swinging toss? There's a video somewhere about it. I get a little more range from that, but I don't do it enough to be very good at it. It takes me longer to get a toss bag in the right place as it does to drop the tree and cut it up sometimes... I'm sure the neighbor's think I'm totally nuts... well I'm pretty sure they know I am at this point... LOL

My neighbor who liked to string wires way up in the trees for ham radios was asking me about shooting wooden dowels out of a 12 gauge. Never found out if he tried but with some experimenting I bet it could be done.

Haven’t tried between the legs. I can do that in the yard here at home and see how it goes.

If that were cheaper, I’d for sure get one. I’ll ask around and see if I can find a decent sling shot.

Hey it’s how they shoot lines between ships at sea. They might still do it that way, not sure.

I would love to have one, but the once a year situation where it would be nice to have one never fully justifies the price, especially after I get the toss bag in the right spot. It would save time for sure, but I'm typically not on a clock when I'm cutting in my woods.

Maybe one of these days when someone asks me to drop some trees that they are scared to death of, I'll tell them one of these will be needed so we can safely cut their problem trees. Normally I do this stuff no charge just to help folks out in my spare time. Those big shot gizmo's would be a big time saver.

Don't see why someone couldn't mod a potato gun to shoot lines with...

And landowner/bike shop boss has one of those bead blasters. I imagine there’s no tree to tall around me with one of those. I’ll ask friends if anyone has one.
