Yes, definitely did! Some guys like to swing weight, I like to pull the trigger. Ha, beat me to it. That's the first thing I though too.
I got a knock off inversion table for free several years ago and I get it out whenever I get a sore back, usually in the spring when I start bouncing around on the mowers a lot. It works very well for me. I've also tried a belt, but they just don't seem to fit around my gut very well...
I have talked with doctors and physical therapists about using those support belts and all have said it is not good idea. I guess they are saying one should work on strengthening ones core.
I just noticed what looks like a laundry detergent bottle being used as a chain/bar oil dispenser? That’s a good idea!
All this talk about carrying/moving rounds I’ll toss this out. Mostly for a laugh but I think it could work. Had the idea years ago of using a push lawnmower handle with spring loaded pins for axles. Just give ‘em a good tap into the center of the round and you have a real Fred Flintstone round roller
I've done something similar in the past...ran lag bolts into the center of the ends, hooked a short cable with eyes on each end, then hooked onto that with the winch cable...rolled it right out to solid ground! Works pretty well for larger rounds, probably too slow for smaller stuff. Not so great for rounds that aren't so round either...
Funny you mention that. I just saw this technique last week. Guy used nails lightly hammered into the rounds. If I have the opportunity, I might try it some day Delivered dads wood today. He had all the ash neatly stacked from a couple weeks ago.
hmnn, certainly a good way to test the theory without any real fabrication. Some small lag bolts and a screw gun would work too. Came up with this thought in my first ever scrounge. Was using a hand truck in the woods. Tires are a little small. Nice thing about using a round for a tire is the bigger it is the easier it will roll LOL
Stump day at the hole! I cut 3 stumps that gave me a really nice size load. Couple future prospects. Gonna half to make room first.
Ill bet you love pulling out that long bar and saw to cut. Amazing how much wood in just a stump. How long can you cut there? Seems like an unlimited supply? Was it part of the deal to cut them low? I have a few at a recent cut i have to slice off low.
