So I was thinking of getting one of those jigs that lets you put in a wood screw at an angle. Anybody know what they are called.
Nice! They work really well for building cabinets too. My Dad built some new cabinets for his shop with one.
That is way beyond my skill level and probably will always be beyond my skill level. But I am having fun. I have seen some of your projects and that is some mighty fine work you do.
Thats my plan. I want to build kitchen cabinets for the house. I figure I can put together a nice shop and build the cabinets and learn cabinet making all at the same time. Then when its done, I can say I built them myself.
Well it looks great man I’d put it on my front porch. Looking forward to seeing the bench! My Dad already had the cabinet doors, which he had saved from when they remodeled the kitchen 20 years ago. Those would be the challenging part I think. But you can still buy nice professionally made frame and panel doors - probably even locally made if you were farther east. Careful though, it’s a whole other tool addiction. You thought chainsaws was bad...
Mag Craft The quality of your work looks good to many here but the real test of how well you did is clearly evident by your cats warming up to it and claiming it. If they like it, it must be good.
The barn cats are funny. They are brothers and follow me everywhere and does not matter what I am doing. They do live out side full time.
So I have been working on my bench to match the table I did. I took a couple of pics of it before staining this time. Then here are some pics after staining it. When this gets good and dry I will then start putting on the final finish to make it weather proof. The best part is I get to burn all the scraps. Nothing goes to waste.
I noticed the stain is like a double edge sword. It will show the beauty of the wood but will also show all your mistakes.
