It keeps amazing me at the generosity of FHCers to offer help to others they have never met; truly wonderful.

That is so cool; I would never let the twins do that stuff; I guess I was rather protective of them getting hurt. I see you are teaching him to use protective gear when working

I saw that last night about 18 minutes after being posted. I contacted them, and I had to call another person to see what was left, etc. I chalked it up to being a scam, so I let it be. Thanks for looking out!

Welcome to the site. See you have the X27. If you get a chance pick up the new Isocore, you won't be disappointed. My X27 rarely gets used now.

They can order many more stove models than what is stocked in store...and you can't beat their prices on class A chimney pipe/parts...it's on sale right now (through tonight) for $65 per 3' section.

Welcome to the jungle pjcalla! :tip:

Had a busy, but productive weekend. I helped my father in-law spread salt in the wee hours both Saturday and Sunday. Friday and Saturday (after one family Christmas party) nights were spent splitting rounds in the rain, snow, sleet, whatever that shiz was. I got through the whole pile, so I started looking for more. Sunday, after salting, I picked up some large rounds of maple (I believe). Man, that was an experience... Got them unloaded last night, and tried to split one with my X27...haha, that thing just bounced right off. I went inside and ordered the Fiskars maul. Anyway, it was a great weekend: making money, visiting with family and hoarding wood.

    Here are some obligatory pics:

Them big ones you need to work around the edges and widdle them down. Looks like some nice pieces of wood. Hope you didnt have to lift them.

Exactly, once you get a couple pieces off the outside, it will split.
