Hello The knurl knob that tightens down one of the two old Halagen Flood lamps broke so we decided to get the LED updated replacement to be more energy efficient. The old Halagen unit was Solid Metal Flood lamps in a cage for approx 10 years and could be fixed. I also like the fact that it had a 3rd red wire coming out of it so it could activate another light with the same motion sensor. We got it at Lowe’s at their new lower price of 69.98 minus $3.50 by using the Lowe’s CC for the extra 5% of which equals $66.48 so not a bad price for 2500 Lumens on the box or Amazon states 2485 Lumens on their web sit which is equivalent to approx 25 watts that detects motion up to 100 feet. It also has a low beam that comes out the bottom of the lamp and the High Beam front that eliminates the blind spot near the house. Hmmm. See last 2 pics With the Amazon price of $91.34 you can get expert replacement only installation for a total of $163.09 ! My first light, I ran all the electrical wire and put a wall switch for it in the Kitchen. How much would Amazon charge for that type of install? LOL There are so many LED floods now on the market! Is that a good price for the 2500 lumens? Anyone else get a flood light recently? the motion detector is what seems to add the most to the cost of outdoor lights. and the older ones didn't seem to last long.
