He might be. He eats and poops a lot.

Today's rain just sucks for puppy potty training. They are saying we could get a couple of inches of rain. I think we're already there. There's a lake in the front and back yards.
He's doing well with that, and socializing. He met our 9 yr old neighbor on his bicycle and the bicycle didn't bother him one bit. Yesterday he met a friend's 12 yr old basenji, plus her owners. We were outside the whole time, and their neighbor mowed the lawn with a gas push mower. This was a city lot, so the mower was close. No issues. He isn't scared of these things but seems to be wary enough to not get in harm's way.

Someone has been busy here. It's not even noon and he's pooped 3 times today. Even more pee. All outside, which is a great thing. Even with the rain, he's doing great with potty training. He's not a fan of the sideways hard rain and crazy winds, but regular rain he's fine with. I don't like that crazy weather either.

He made it 5 hours last night without having to go.

He's pretty funny though, he gets whiny and restless right before he actually takes a nap. Flops around to a few different places until settling on one.

He's done well with the little bell I hung on the patio door handle. Well, until this am. He snapped the string I hung it with this am.
The bell it's too let us know that he needs to go out, not a toy. He seems to have blurred that line.

Got the little guy out in the yard for more than just the potty breaks. It stopped raining about noon, and while the sun isn't out, and the grass is wet, at least it's not raining any more.

Tired out the pup. I also got the spot on flea and tick med on him today since he's 8 weeks today.

Badger is doing well with teaching the little guy. 20200519_174101(1).jpg

He lets Hayden sleep on him, crawl over him, etc. Badgers trigger is his tail though. Leave the tail alone!!

Notice how Badger has his eye open, just a little bit.....?

When Hayden gets bitey, he's got some razor teeth.

Hmm...…… "Hayden", huh? Yeah, OK, I guess that a good name!

Actually kinda glad that since so are so dang deep behind the cheddar curtain that you didn't name him "Pasty Puppy" or "Yooper's Revenge"!

Glad you had a safe trip and of course, you already know, the pup looks great! :handshake: I'll have to show 99 as soon as she gets off the phone!

At the young age, they are like needles, aren't they? :pain:

    Yes. Very Sharp.

I'm hoping now that I don't need to think about launching my boat IN my driveway from all the rain, that we'll be able to tire him out better outside and he'll be less crazy. They say 20 minutes of puppy play is the equivalent of 3 hours of adult dog play.

You just have to keep the play to be low impact. Their joints are not formed yet. Lots of cartilage on young pups.

How do you keep a puppy on low impact is beyond me. All puppies know is full steam ahead. Lol

You just have to limit the hardcore running and jumping. Jumping from taller things like a bed or out of the truck are a no no. Badger was a HANDFUL as a pup. All he wanted to do was retrieve, and shred mulch.
