  I hear that! I was a supervisor in two other past jobs. No more. I take care of me, myself, and I. And that's enough! :D

    Thank you my friend!

I do need a change of pace... Dealing with a bunch of people causing drama with each other day in and day out is draining for sure. I need some personal reflection time. Not time spent looking at others issues and how to resolve them. I am a good leader ( Not ego but proven results ) there comes a time when it becomes to much and starts affecting your time away from work and thats when its time to step back and survey ones life from the inside. Recognising that will keep a person sane and clear of paranoia.

It sounds like your brother in law did well! Thats good to hear most of the industry drivers hate it:rofl:  93% turnover rate industry wide no joke. I love driving it was the away from home time that killed it for us originally. I ended up going for better home time and pay this time! I love the wife... The way I see it we as humans have to fight for everything we have. I fight for my beliefs, my family and all the things I hold dear! That doesn't mean that one has to be unhappy in what they do. This is a choice for self preservation and for a happy home life like your brother in law made.

You have been a good friend over the years Larry I respect you a great deal buddy thank you for all that wisdom you throw at me! :emb:

Thank you my friend! How is the hubby doing? I haven't been on much I hope you are doing good up that a way!

O shucks:emb::emb::emb: I might have to change it from pallet pete! I wont have free unlimited pallets anymore!:loco:  I will keep you guys posted for sure. Thank you!

Brother I committed grand theft Facebook:eek: for that pic right of the Facebook page for my new employer! I dont technically start till next week so no truck assigned yet.:picard:BUT they run really nice equipment! Hows the brewing going?

Yes sir I plan to! Thank you!

O lord dont get me going on those old PITA trucks! I drove a fill in MAC for about a month that old bucket gave me a headache....

Most of the autos are the mega carriers with 3000 plus trucks and thats to attract new guys who dont want to learn manuals. The vast majority city trucks are auto too now so yup its coming down the line for sure!

Thank you for the well wishes! I am defiantly ready to be a low man on the totem pole again!

Ford has that new auto parallel park deal you can get now...now if only someone can come up with an auto trailer backup dealio for big rigs, then some of these maroons that they are handing CDLs out to now will be able to actually get the load to the dock! I work with a guy that used to work the loading dock at a paper mill on nights...they sent him to get his CDL because there were so many guys coming in saying "no backy, no backy" (said with an Indian accent) (they had lots of Indian drivers for some reason)
Come to think of it...IIRC, Ford has a auto trailer backup assist option available on the F150s now...wonder how well that works?

Ford has trailer back up assist on f series, so it can be done. Ok hear it works pretty well.

I'd spring for it for my wife, when she backs the trailer into the lake for my boat.

Whatever the cost. If it works and avoid any "discussion", then it's worth it.

Pallet Pete will you have to drive over to GR to pick up the truck each week? More than once per week? I hope not but yet it is not that far.

Some day when you have a long wait getting loaded or unloaded, if you need to chat, I'm only a phone call away. Same for your wife should she need some help. All in all, we wish you well and the better pay can really help settle things down too. That really makes it worth the change. I changed jobs several times in my working life and most of them worked our super great. Those that didn't, I simply moved on to something else. We got along just fine and you will too. Good luck to both of you.

No just once a week but I can take it home if I am on route which will be a couple nights a week. This is a small company with a very stable freight base. Everybody that I have talked with loves there job and they all appear to get along very well.
