new husqvarna 562xp air filter concerns

Ok, I've heard of some K&N oil that is a spray on, wasn't sure.

 

It is spray on aerosol but I'm sure hes spraying it on the seams

 

The K&N air filter grease is very thick, not an oil and certainly not sprayed on; it is used only where the air cleaner connects to the air horn.

 

Oops sorry thought you were talking about then charge oil

 

Actually here is their description: K&N Sealing Grease 99-0704 provides an airtight fit around sealing surfaces on all types of air filter elements. It resists heat and will not melt or run off. K&N Sealing Grease is designed to ensure the filter stays sealed in rugged environments. It is not to be used on clamp-on filter elements. K&N Sealing Grease 99-0704 comes in a 6 ounce tube.

• Prevents air leaks
• Withstands high temperatures and will not run
• Does not work for clamp-on applications
• Comes in a squeeze tube

 

Yeah until the Husqvarna fix the problem of theirs flagship model................. the K&N company will make gold jobs

 

Are your 550xp and 562xp still going strong after ingesting so much saw dust?

 

If it was just mostly sawdust it wouldn't be terrible. But there would be dust with it which would be 50x more abrasive.
