Welcome tj & wmw....pull up a log by the fire and sit a spell. We need pictures of all your wood hoarding piles, chainsaws, splitters, food cooked over the fire, dogs, cats, kids, stoves, wood haulers, tractors, deers, fish, lakes, ponds, creeks....heck any old picture will do.

Great welcoming thread here! Northwest ohio near tiffin. Try and get some pics. It's just a haste to mess with the ice and snow around the piles of rounds. It needs done. I'm also planting a row of green giants this spring for privacy then buidling my wood shed against the green giants hopefully a wood shed to hold atleast 15-20 cord. My seasoned stuff sits in a lEan to off my building but only holds about 6-7 cord.. can't seem to add pics from my droid it's all I use for internet. Also see there is no tapatalk support

    Welcome tj and wmw!

As far as your droid not posting pics, I find this site is super easy compared to other forum formats for adding pics. No need to put them on picassa or photo bucket, just hit upload a file, and pick it. It someone take a minute, but is still super easy.

I'm on a moto x 2014, easy to use on this forum. Snap pics with the camera, upload, and post.

Had some possible good news today. I have failed twice but finally farmer is considering selling the woods behind our house. Fingers crossed any advice with financing/land contracts of raw land? It connects right with the back yard and is perfect

I am an agricultural lender down in Kentucky. What part of Ohio are you in? We have a sister Association up there called Ohio AgCredit. I think they have two offices but both are in northern Ohio.

All I can recommend is that once you come to an agreement be sure to get it in writing. I've seen real estate deals fall apart at closing because of he said / she said situations. Money does weird things to people...even life long friends.

Good luck, I hope you get what you want.

Edit: If you can obtain traditional financing I would go that route before a land contract, they can get messy for both parties. Also, talk to your local FSA office if you currently farm at all, they have rates far below market.

No farming currently. But a little bit of that land will be dropped and cleared hoarded and burned!!! But eventually just a head of cattle, chickens, and some others. I would like my kids to grow up taking care of them to teach some responsibility and skills. I'm in contact now with an ag credit office. They advised as well if the land owner prefers a land contract to have my title attorney office look it over really well before signing.
